Amevive Grenache Blanc “Ballard Canyon” 2024
From the organically-farmed Rancho Boa Vista vineyard in the Ballard Canyon AVA of Santa Barbara County (California), this wine is crafted by winemaker Alice Anderson under the Âmevive label. It’s made with Grenache Blanc grapes grown on warm, limestone-rich slopes and vinified to highlight purity, freshness and a Mediterranean sensibility.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass with a green-tinged rim. On the nose: white peach, pear blossom, subtle melon and floral notes. The palate offers bright, clean acidity with a steely mineral backbone, a gently textured mid-palate and a touch of salinity on the finish. The overall feel is light, elegant and food-friendly.
Food Pairing
Excellent with a lemon-herb grilled shrimp salad—its crisp acidity and mineral lift mingle beautifully with the citrus and herbs. For a fun twist, pair with fresh ricotta and zucchini-ribbon ravioli tossed with mint and olive oil—letting the wine highlight the creamy ricotta and fresh herb aromatics.
