Istine Vermouth

Istine is a boutique Chianti producer based in Radda, led by Angela Fronti and known for its high-altitude vineyards and organic practices. In collaboration with the storied Bordiga vermouth house, they’ve transformed one of their rosato (rosé) Sangiovese wines into a vermouth infused with 34 botanicals — combining Tuscan wine terroir with Piedmontese herbal tradition.

Tasting Notes
This vermouth shows a delicate rose-hued hue, with aromas of red berry, rose petal, and fresh herbs. On the palate, vivid cherry and cranberry mingle with citrus peel and soft bitterness from gentian and wormwood, while herbal undertones of sage, lavender, and subtle mint provide depth. It finishes with balanced sweet-bitter tension and a crisp, floral echo.

Serving Suggestion
Enjoy Istine Vermouth neat or on ice with a twist of lemon to highlight its wine base, or use it in cocktails (like a rosato Spritz or lighter Negroni variant) in place of a typical sweet vermouth.
