Sirene Canto Amaro
Crafted by Liquore delle Sirene on the shores of Lake Garda, Canto Amaro is a terroir-driven bitter liqueur whose name evokes the “song” of the sirens. Its botanicals largely come from the Garda region — lemons, thistle, rose berries, sweet and bitter orange — while others (kina, vanilla, timut pepper) are sourced more broadly. Each botanical is infused individually, blended according to Elisa Carta’s recipe, and then aged briefly in small oak casks to integrate flavors.
Tasting Notes
Canto Amaro opens with bright citrus — especially lemon peel — intertwined with herbaceous thistle and floral rose berry. The bitterness of gentian and kina grounds the profile, while vanilla and a touch of timut pepper add warmth and subtle spiciness. On the finish, citrus lingers cleanly, with a mellow herbal echo and a hint of spice.
Serving Suggestion
Serve Canto Amaro neat or over a large ice cube (lemon twist optional), or introduce a float of tonic to lighten and refresh its aromatic citrus-herbal character.
